Illum is Copenhagen's premier department store housing over 100 concession brands from all over the world.
Objective
To work with the Illum management team and external contractors to develop the Design Vision for the store.
Submit the fully costed Design Vision for main board approval.
To project manage the implementation with the local management team.
Approach
Numensa worked closely with the CEO and external design consultants to develop the Design Vision, the CAPEX required and the project implementation phasing.
Numensa conducted analysis of the store performance and benchmarking against the external market to establish the best concession mix and the optimum achievable concession deals.
Numensa developed a number of analytical tools to further assist the management in the development of the optimum business model.
Numensa developed a project management tool to allow the tracking of complex multiple concession moves.
Result
The Board sign off of the Design Vision and CAPEX spend.
Numensa was instrumental in bringing a number of important international brands to the store as well as playing a lead role in the project management of the changes taking place.
The successful implementation of the Scandinavian Designers' Zone, a unique collection of designer brands on the ground floor.
